Align Recruitment is searching for an experienced Site Superintendent on behalf of a leading General Contractor in Burnaby, BC.

Our client specializes in building large scale commercial and institutional projects. They have 30+ years of experience in the construction industry and are looking to expand their team.

Responsibilities:

• Carpentry background with progressive experience in supervisory positions;
• Responsible for ensuring all work on site is executed efficiently and correctly according to design;
• Experience working on concrete forming, tilt-up project experience
• Supervise all crews on site to ensure quality
• Maintain cost control, quality and schedule of the construction site
• Proficient with construction documentation requirements and process
• Understands project scope and applies engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve challenges
• Collaborates with Project Manager to implement safety program and maintain all safety documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing and coordinating safety, trades, suppliers and the site workforce
• Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Highly motivated and detail oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with changes in a positive manner
